Description

The Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Contract Support (G-ACS-1) intends to negotiate on a sole source with Oracle USA, Inc., 500 Oracle Parkway, Redwood city, CA., 94065-1677, under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.301 and under the authority of FAR Subsection 13.106-1 (b). This procurement is for software update license and maintenance support for the Human Resources (HR) Information Services Office (CG-102) in support of the HR and Payroll software systems. This software is proprietary to and solely distributed by Oracle USA, Inc. The USCG is unaware of any other source that can provide the required software. The USCG intends to issue a Firm-fixed Price contract to Oracle USA, Inc. for this maintenance unless other sources are identified before response date to this notice. NAICS Code: 541511. The Period of Performance for this contract is date of award to 30 April 2007 for the base year and four (4) consecutive, one year option periods.
