Description

SYNOPSIS FOR REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SUPPORT CONTRACT The National Institutes of Health intends to award a fixed price IDIQ contract for assistance in ensuring compliance with regulations and policies governing the use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing equipment for biomedical research. The services needed would be: radiation safety surveys, including MARSSIM type final site surveys; calibration of survey meters for contamination or exposure; verification of security of radioactive materials (during normal hours and after hours); preparation and decontamination of I-131 therapy rooms; support of on-site analytical laboratory; inspection of x-ray producing equipment; monitoring and decontaminating areas and personnel (during normal hours and after hours); and administrative support for tasks performed under contract. This performance-based, total small business set aside would be awarded for an initial period of one year, with four successive one-year renewable option periods, for a maximum of five years. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541380, and the size standard is 10M. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about March 15, 2006. The RFP, RFP amendments, and questions and answers related to the procurement shall only be available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the RFP to be considered for award. At this time, no written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no list of bidders shall be maintained.
