- Description
- Domestic and international shortages of crude oil and natural gas are prompting a re-evaluation of resources within the United States. As part of its mission, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) assesses domestic and worldwide energy resources and is interested in developing a second generation 4-D model for the North Slope that will utilize information from numerous USGS datasets and sources. In support of these objectives USGS is entering into a Cooperative Research & Development Agreement (CRADA) with Integrated Exploration Systems GMbH, that will combine USGS information and IES technology to provide an integrated 4-D model that will have value to a variety of users who can benefit from this type of capability.. This is a notice about a planned collaborative effort. This is not a procurement, the partner in a CRADA contributes funds, equipment, or in-kind services to the joint research effort leveraging their efforts with those of the federal agency for a mission related objective. For more information the science effort connected to the project contact Kenneth Peters, Ph.D, at (650) 329-5171. For information on Technology Transfer mechanisms contact Julia Giller, Technology Transfer Officer, (850) 942-9500 ext. 3034 or jgiller@usgs.gov.
