Predominate Material of Manufacture: Alloy Approximate Dimensions: 2.5 Inch High X .5 Inch Deep X 10 Inches Long Quantity Range: NTE 18,900 Each Applicable to: F-100/200/220/220E Core Module Destination: FB2039, Tinker AFB, OK, 73145-9013 Delivery: Five year period The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 15 Mar 2006. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 14 Apr 2006. The government contemplates awarding a firm fixed price requirements type contract for a two (2) year basic contract period with three one (1) year option periods. The estimated quantity per period is as follows: Basic: 7,560 ea; Option 1: 3,780 ea; Option 2: 3780 ea; and Option 3: 3,780 ea. The Governments required schedule is 315 ea per month (max) 30 days after receipt of repairables/order. Items will be delivered to FB2039 (Tinker AFB, OK). Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. The government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SAR as soon as possible. If the government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. The current approved source is Ferrotherm Corporation (01993). No telephone requests will be accepted. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be mailed from this office. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern.
