Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst is seeking sources for the manufacture of the Linkless Ammunition Loading System Replenisher. The Ammunition Replenisher is part of the Linkless Ammunition Loading System (LALS II). It consists of a mechanical feed device that interfaces with the Ammunition Loader during replenishment. It is comprised of a table assembly; interchange unit, removable frame assembly, round storage bin, download chute assembly, load tray assembly, and ammunition container support assemblies. The interchange unit connects with the aircraft interface unit and transfers ammunition to and from the LALS II Loader. The removable frame along with the interchange unit, load tray assembly and download chute assembly can be removed from the table and attached to the LALS II directly. The Governemnt intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract consisting of a one (1) year base with two (2) option periods. The required basic quantity is for one (1) Preproduction or First Article Unit and 150 Production Units. Initial spares will also be purchased via the exercise of a priced option. This procurement includes technical data requirements. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select "Doing Business" and then "Open Solicitations." Look for amendments on the web page. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web, on or about 14 March 2006. The Government will not accept electronic offers. Interested Firms should request a copy of the Drawing Package.
