- The work consists of Maintenance Dredging at various locations (Through Channels and Inlet crossings in the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway between the South Carolina state line and Norfolk, Virginia and several miscellaneous channels. The work will require the removal and disposal of material which has shoaled in the channels since the last maintenance dredging cycle. The total quantity of material to be dredged, including allowable overdepth, is estimated to be about 600,000 cubic yards. The dredg ed material will be disposed on nearby beach disposal areas and upland disposal areas. Estimated cost of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Availability and Charge: THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ON CD-ROM AND WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE AND SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper hard copy form. Amendments wil l be made through either a 3.5 Diskette, CD-ROM or hard copy, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest. The CD-ROM contains simple window viewing application and two commercial software applications. All applications contained on the CD-ROM can be run from a CD-ROM. No installation is REQUIRED. The recommended minimum software requirements are Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT. ALL BID FORMS and oth er normal documents required for BID SUBMITTAL SHALL BE IN PAPER MEDIUM. Electronic medium for bid submittals SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED.
