Description
The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns only. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $500,000. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees, NAICS Code is 336611 and the SIC is 3731. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCGC SEAHAWK (WPB-87323), a 87? PATROL BOAT. All work will be performed at contractors? place of performance. The performance period will be 42 calendar days with a start date ON OR ABOUT 24 JULY 2006. The home pier of the cutter is CARRABELLE, FL. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC SEAHAWK (WPB-87323). This cutter is restricted to no open water transit further restricted from Restricted from Brownsville, TX to Shallottee Inlet, NC . This work will include, but is not limited to, (1) Welding Repairs (2) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Waste Oil Tanks (3) Clean Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks (4) Realign Main Engine /Reduction Gear (5) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts (6) Repair Shaft (7) Straighten Shaft (8) Inspect Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings (9) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propellers (10) Perform Minor Repair and Recondition of Propeller (11) Preserve Transducer Hull Ring (12) Overhaul and Renew Valves (13) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Ruder Assemblies (14) Preserve RIB wet Notch Deck and Stern Door Interior Surfaces (15) Preserve Underwater Body (16) Preserve Cathodic Protection System (17)inspect Transducer Fairing (18) Routine Drydocking (19) Provide Temporary Logistics (20) Renew Watertight Hatch Frames (21)Preserve Forward Peak Compartment (22) Inspect Hull Plating (23) Renew Deck and Hull Plating (24) Preserve Bilge Surfaces Lazarette (25) Erect Mast Staging (However, in accordance with FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail to http://bbaechle@mlca.uscg.mil or by fax at (757) 628-4676.
