- 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation FA5000-06-T-0042 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal AcquisitionCircular 2005-07. 4) This is a Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code is 333120, Size standard: 750 employees. SIC Code: 3531 5) Line Item 0001; QTY 350: Underbody blade (CAT PN# 5D-9558 or equal) Line Item 0002; QTY 100: Underbody serrated blade (CAT PN# 132-1072 or equal) 6) Underbody blade is used in snow removal on plows and graders. Underbody serrated blade is used in ice removal on plows and graders. Tines need to be 4 ?? in length. 7) Delivery: FOB ELMENDORF AFB, ALASKA, requested delivery is no later than 15 June 06. 8) FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. 9) FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial items. Award will be made based on the low price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on initial quote received without discussions. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
