Description

The VA Medical Center, Togus, Maine intends to negotiate a Commercial Item sole source contract with Aquascapes, P.O. Box 441, Gardiner, Maine 04345. The clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-07. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to obtain Aquarium Maintenance Services at VAMC Togus under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract for these services. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The applicable NAICS code is 812910 and applicable size standard is $6M. All proposals received by 12:00 noon EST on March 9, 2006 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
