Description

The Air Force intends to issue a solicitation for hard chrome plating and gold cadmium plating of missile parts for Vandenberg AFB, California, on or around 12 April 2006. The contractor shall provide all personnel equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform all items as specified in the Performance-Based Work Statement (PWS). The proposed period of performance includes a Basic Period (1 Oct 2006-30 Sep 2007) and four (4) one-year option periods extending through 30 September 2011. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219 and the size standard is $6.0M in average annual gross receipts. Services will be procured pursuant to the requirements in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 15 procedures. A draft PWS will be posted with this notice. Note: Engineering drawings will not be provided at this time. Interested parties are requested to submit capability statements (maximum of 3 pages not including cover page) in writing, no later than 20 Mar 2006, to: doris.alaniz@vandenberg.af.mil. The capability statement should include evidence of relevant experience in hard chrome plating and gold cadmium plating. Request for Proposal Number FA4610-06-R-0006 is scheduled for issuance on or about 12 Apr 2006, and a scheduled pre-proposal conference will also be released at that time. The solicitation will be posted through the internet at www.fbo.gov Telephone requests will not be honored.
