Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Quality Assurance Testing for Constructions Materials Testing Services for the 8.5 Square Mile, Pumping Station 357 project in Miami, Florida. T he procurement will be conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) reference FAR part 13. The contractor shall provided all labor, equipment, tools, material, supervision, transportation, parking, security and other items or services neces sary to perform field sample, field test, and laboratory test of construction materials. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS code is 541380, Testing Laboratories. The Small Business Size Standard is $ 11.0 M. Prospective contra ctors must be register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration Database at www.ccr.gov prior to award. Offerors are notified that failure to register may render a firm ineligible for award. This contract will be awarded to those offerors who are In a ccordance with Engineer Regulation (ER) 1110-1-8100, Engineering and Design; Laboratory Investigations and Testing, and ER 1110-1-261, Engineering and Design; Quality Assurance of Laboratory Testing Procedures, the Engineer Research and Development Center Materials Testing Center (MTC) has responsibility for inspections and validations of contractor quality control (QC) laboratories, project quality assurance (QA) laboratories, and contracted commercial materials testing laboratories in determining the capa bilities of the laboratory to perform certain materials tests and evaluations Only those labs located in the state of Florida. Request for Quotations will be issued on or about 07 March 2006 and offers due on or about 16 March 2006. RFQ will be issued in e lectronic format only. The Government will award a contract resulting form this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose quote, conforming to this RFQ, will be most advantageous to the Government.
