- The Naval Air Systems Command-Aircraft Division (NAVAIR-AD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for: (nt2) Narrow FOV Telescope with 800 mm EFL (Qty 1) and a Special 13 MRAD Telescope using a 6.4 mm aperture setting (Qty 1). All items are manufactured and will be provided by Telops Inc., 100-2600 St. Jean-Baptiste Ave, Quebec City, Qc, G2E 6J5 Canada. Telops Inc. is the original and only known manufacturer of these telescopes. The production of these items requires access too proprietary information controlled by Telops Inc.. NAVAIR-AD intends to solicit written quotes from Telops Inc. for the above items with an anticipated award date of 23 March, 2006, and an estimated delivery date of 5 May, 2006 to NAVAIR-AD Patuxent River, MD. Items must be procured from Telops Inc. to ensure system compatibility and interoperability. Interested parties may submit a capabilities statement in which they identify their interest and capability. All capabilities statements received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 21 March, 2006 to vicki.miles@navy.mil, or faxed to (301) 757-0200 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc. in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for the brand specific item based upon the responses received.
