- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION N62467-06-R-2304 WHICH IS BEING ISSUED AS A SET-ASIDE FOR 8(a) Small Businesses. The Synopsis/Solicitation Number for this announcement is N62467-06-R-2304. Southern Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, solicits for participate in Firm-Fixed-Price Contract for Preventive Maintenance, Control Inspection MCRC Pasadena/Pico Rivera, CA to a 8(a) Small Business. The 2002 NAICS Code for the proposed acquisition is 238220, Plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), and the small business size standard is $13 Mil. Federal Supply Code is Y299, Maintenance, and Repair/Alternation all other. Under FAR guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 20 percent of the contract work with his-or-her own employees. This contract will include a base year and four one-year options. There will be no future synopsis in the event the options included in the contract are exercised. No new work can be issued after one year following award of initial contract unless option year is exercised. The Government intends to issue the Request for Proposal (RFP) electronically by posting it on the NAVFAC Website, http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil on or about 3 March 2006. Prospective Offerors MUST register themselves on the Internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The official plan holder?s list will be maintained on, and may be printed from the Website. Amendments will be posted on the web site for downloading. This will be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore, IT IS THE OFFEROR?S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR ANY AMENDMENTS TO THIS SOLICITATION. Offerors MUST also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement. The website for CCR is http://www.ccr.gov. The government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any proposal. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
