Description
Reference Sources Sought Synopsis for IT Application/Server Support, 19 Oct 2005. We appreciate the interest expressed in the WR-ALC/IT effort to consolidate desktop support and application/server support contracts for WR-ALC. Market research indicates a large number of capable companies, such that a great number of resources (both Government and Contractor) would be required to accomplish both competitive efforts in parallel. Accordingly, the decision has been made to first focus on the desktop support effort. We intend to pursue a partnership agreement with IT through an 8(a) set-aside competition. Contractors meeting 8(a) criteria will be allowed to form teams including non-8(a) contractors. An Industry Day is being planned for March 2006, with dates and details to be announced soon on the FedBizOpps website. The Industry Day will provide an opportunity for clarification of the requirement, as well as industry input. WR-ALC/IT plans to proceed with the application/server support effort following award of the desktop support effort. We anticipate extending current software application/server support contracts by approximately 12 to 15 months to provide interim coverage. For the application support consolidation effort, market research indicates a large number of capable companies. Based on responses to the market research, we anticipate that this effort will also be conducted as an 8(a) set-aside competition. Because of resource constraints, this effort will be delayed approximately 12 months. No responses to this posting are necessary. This posting is for information purposes only.
