Description: The VA Health Administration Center (HAC) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to research the availability of contractors who are able to perform appropriate measures to provide clinical peer review of adverse benefit determinations that are made on the basis of medical necessity. Additionally, the HAC plans to submit an application for accreditation under the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) at sometime in the future. The HAC views establishing a partnership with a clinical peer review organization as a cornerstone to this initiative.
