Description

RDECOM Acquisition Center anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Applied Marine Technology, Inc. to assist in three major sustainment efforts undergoing by the Chemical Detection Engineering Team (CDET). First, the assistance of the M256 Low Volatility Hazard (LVH) Integrated Process Team (IPT) in a Product Improvement Program that expands the capability of the M256A1 Chemical Detector Kit by providing a means to detect LVH. Second, technical consulting support to assist the Improved Chemica l Agent Monitor High Temperature IPT to resolve technical issues identified in the ICAM by the RESET team. Third, a subject matter expert on chemical detection to provide technical consulting support to review and evaluate emerging technologies to improve , modernize, and reduce life cycle cost of existing fielded detection equipment. The need for the technical consulting support from Applied Marine Technology, Inc. is critical to the success of these three major sustainment efforts to ensure quality produ cts get delivered into the hands of the warfighters. Sole source award of this effort to Applied Marine Technology, Inc. is justified because of the direct working knowledge and experience in current M256A1 Chemical Detection Kits and ICAM High Storage su stainment efforts over the past two years. Note 22 applies.
