- Description
- The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency intends to acquire on a sole source basis SNL Financial?s information service including SNL Datasource, Corporate Finance Analytics, and SNL Interactive for one year. This is a follow-on to a previous order with SNL Financials. The estimated cost is $34,500. This service is provided via the Internet through downloadable software; there are no additional hardware or software expenditures. While some of the services are provided by others, only SNL Financial provides all the services in the depth and in the detail required by the OCC. The following data are included in the SNL subscription: Customization of news alerts with direct delivery through OCC email. SEC/Gap financial data for banks, thrifts and financial services companies. Regulated depository data for bank holding companies, commercial banks, savings banks, savings institutions, and credit unions. Historical M&A information and statistics. Branch market share data. Daily financial, price and price ratio updates for listed and NASDAQ banks, thrifts, and financial services companies. Daily updates of bank, thrift and financial services M&A transactions. Daily branch ownership updates. The SNL product contains corporate, financial, market and M&A data for banks, thrifts and financial services companies in one easy ?to-use and access database. It also provides extensive news and analysis on these industries. SNL provides information on M&A activity and the financial services companies. SNL allows the user to compile reports that blend both market and regulatory data. The SNL website contains valuable market news and information in one, easy-to-access location. Users can research an individual bank?s SEC/GAAP financial filings, its branch market share data and its merger and acquisition history among other items. The website allows users to access real time market data. Examiners and other users are able to customize news alerts for their individual portfolio and the financial industry with direct to their OCC e-mail address. The SNL software contains regulatory data, SEC filing information, M&A specifics, branch market share data, and market information. The software also has an Excel add-in function (SNLExcel), which allows the creation of customized reports. The reports can be easily updated on a daily basis or real time basis. The SNL product allows users to combine data from a variety of sources. Users can create reports that combine financial market data, SEC filing information, and regulatory data. SNL Financials is also the product used by the OCC?s sister regulatory agencies and ensures that all are using the same data. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. Written or telephone requests for a solicitation will not be accepted. A solicitation will not be issued. All information received within 7 calendar days after the date of this notification that contains pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement will be considered by the OCC. A determination not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the OCC .
