- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 721110. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a Hotel/Conference Center facility in the Phoenix/Chandler, Arizona area, to provide primary meeting space, overnight accommodations, breakout rooms, meals, continuous beverage breaks, standard audio-visual equipment, use of conference center facilities, and parking from June 4-9, 2006 as identified below. Hotel/ Conference facility will also be required to block/hold 10 (see below, various nights for the different phases) lodging rooms for technical resource staff in addition to lodging requirement identified below. The technical resource staff rooms should NOT be included in the event pricing. All technical resource staff rooms will be paid via personal or government credit card. These 10 additional room will be paid separate from any contract resulting from this solicitation. All prices quoted for lodging and meals shall be within the allowable Government Per Diem rates for Phoenix/Chandler, AZ. Award will be based on the lowest acceptable quote and past performance. RFQ 0700-0012-06: There are two phases to this request for quotation, failure to submit a quote on both phases will result a no bid. Please bid on both phases separately. Phase #1: a. Off-Site Facility for the Community Corrections/Prison Division, ?Executive Leadership for Women,? #06P3301, located in the Phoenix/Chandler, Arizona area (within 15 miles of the airport) June 4, 2006 through June 9, 2006. b. Lodging must include twenty (20) single occupancy rooms from June 4-8, 2006. One Hundred (100) total. Checkout: June 9, 2006. Note: Five (5) additional rooms for the consultants and NIC staff will need to be blocked for arrival on June 3, 2006 through June 8, 2006. Thirty (30) total. Checkout: June 9, 2006. This will not be paid per the contract. c. Meeting Rooms: One (1) main room, minimum 1,700 square feet. Must be accessible for set-up on Sunday (June 4th) by 9:00 am. Notes*** -Lunch and dinner set-ups need to be in a private area, due to personal presentations. -Joint breakfast and lunches are acceptable for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. -We will need access to the meeting room or a separate room, that can hold a thirty person circle, on Thursday night, 6/8/06. -No on-sight staff are required from the hotel or event management company, all set-up and introductions will take place by the NIC staff. -private space for individual, confidential feedback for four (4) participants simultaneously. -private outdoor space, preferably a grassed section to accommodate two (2) groups of ten (10) to twelve (12) to execute team building activities. -secluded indoor and outdoor space conducive to individual problem solving, Journaling, and personal reflection time. -classroom space that will accommodate thirty (30) adults, plus podium, LCD set-up, display table, and refreshment table. -Dining area that will accommodate up to fifty (50) people.
