Description: The Ground Vehicle Simulation Laboratory (GVSL) at the U. S. Army TACOM-TARDEC in Warren, Michigan has developed a baseline capability for man/hardware-in-the-loop simulation with existing motion base simulators, image generators, real-time dynamics models, high performance computers, and a software framework which serves as the foundation for these technologies. The GVSLs unique motion-based simulators are used to place users, vehicle subsystems, and full vehicles in a variety of dynamic environme nts which accurately reproduce motion disturbances experienced during proving ground tests or field operations. The GVSL is now looking to continue enhancing their modeling and simulation technology. This enhancement will be developed by building upon th e infrastructure currently existing in the GVSL for conduct of Warrior/Hardware-in-the-loop simulations. The technology to be developed will advance the Armys ability to evaluate vehicle systems with regard to mobility, durability, and operations on the move. It must be able to execute in real-time and must be physics-based. The successful contractor will be required to provide the GVSL with the expertise, software, support, and services to perform the above mission.
