Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation seeks to award a sole source contract to Robert Joy. The consultant will be primarily responsible for assisting PBGC in the development of one integrated information system to support the needs of The Department of Insurance Supervision and Comp (DISC), including providing insight into historical systems utilized by PPD. Providing support in developing one financial statement process for DISC including further documenting the historical PPD financial statement process and providing idea for how PPD's process can be integrated with DISC's current process. Assisting existing consultants tasked with developing, documenting, and implementing various process improvement initiatives. This Consultant will be on location at 1200 K Street NW, Washington, DC, 20005. The intended Contractor is uniquely qualified as a result of years of experience working with PBGC. The PBGC knows of no other Contractor with these unique qualifications and capabilities. The period of performance is one year. The proposed contract is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice for intent to award a sole source contract and is NOT a request for proposals.
