- . The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Savannah District requires a contract to provide operation and maintenance activities at Eagle Island confined dredge material disposal area, Wilmington Harbor, Wilmington, North Carolina. Work will be performed i n any or all three (3) of the disposal area cells. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation for ditching the interior of the disposal area cells (and associated clearing and grubbing), digging sumps, and general ma intenance of dredged materials disposal areas. Contract will be a multiple year Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract consisting of a base year period and two one-year option periods. The contract maximum amount per year is $1,000,000.00 for the base year period and a maximum of $1,000,000.00 for each of the four one-year option periods. Construction duration and specific scope of work will be determined with each Task Order. Network Analysis will not be required. The solicitation will be a n Invitation for Bid (IFB). Award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible, and responsive bidder. This solicitation is set aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offerors must be eligible as determined by the Small Business Administration & appear on the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns located at SBAs website http://www.sba.gov.hubzone. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1629 and North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 237990. The size standard for this NAICS is $31,000,000.00 million. The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS) https://www.fedteds.gov is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agen cies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. You are urged to read the FAQs posted on the FedTeDS website to better understand this new process. Do not send request for solicitations to this office. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance at the following Internet address: https//www.fedteds.gov. The solicitation will be issued electronic format only and will be available on or about March 24, 2006. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No addit ional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc,) will be provided.
