Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AIRBORNE TACTICAL IMAGING SENSORS The Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River, MD is seeking information on long range tactical imaging sensors capable of operation from an airborne environment. Inherent target cueing and discrimination functionality is desired. Multispectral, Hyperspectral, Polarimetric, and other technologies are of general interest. SENSOR REQUIREMENTS Of immediate interest is an imaging sensor with polarimetric cueing capable of being integrated into the F-18 SHARP pod. The ideal sensor would provide polarimetric cueing functionality and panchromatic imaging performance of Visible NIIRS 5 @ 45 nmi and IR NIIRS 4 (night) @ 25 nmi. This request is for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This announcement is neither a Request for Quote nor a Request for Proposal. The Government does not intend to pay for any information submitted in response to this synopsis. Sensor information and related data are to be shipped to the Naval Air Systems Command contracts office no later than 15 days after the post date of this synopsis. Interested sources should send data to DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY, NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, CONTRACTS DEPARTMENT (AIR 2.2.3.5); ATTN: Lisa Maples, Code 2.2.3.5.3 47123 Buse Road, Bldg. 2272, Suite 453, Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127. Written responses should be received no later than 15 days after the date of this synopsis and reference this synopsis number on both the mailing envelope as well as on all enclosed documents. All responders are invited to include a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for supporting the integration and flight test demonstration of the desired polarimetric and panchromatic capability.
