Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the duration of three years with Telephonics Corporation, 815 Broad Hollow Road, Farmingdale, NY 11735-3904. The requirements of the BOA is to provide materials necessary to maintain the AN/TPX-42(V) Interrogator Set. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source. Telephonics Corporation is the sole designer, developer, and producer ot the AN/TPX-42(V) Air Traffic Control Processing and Display equipment and retains the proprietary data rights fo rthe AN/TPX-42(V) systems. Telephonics Corporation is the only company that currently possess the required knowledge, technical expertise and data necessary to provide the essential equipment and spare parts with the compatibilty and interchangability necessary for immediate integration into the systems. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST OF COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 30 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Hardware to be provided under the proposed BOA will span a period of three years tentatively beginning date of award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this action is 334511, size-standard of 750 employees.
