- Description
- Provide Virtual Pharmacy services for Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29209, Greenville and other remote sites. This includes the professional review and problem solving needed to assure safe appropriate medication processing. Period of performance for the base year will be from May 1, 2006, through April 30, 2007, with three (3) additional one-year option periods. This procurement is being conducted under the FAR Subpart 14, Sealed Bidding. A firm fixed price non-personal services requirements contract for healthcare resources is expected to be awarded from this solicitation. Due to the criticality of the service, in addition to the primary Virtual Pharmacist, the Contractor shall have available for backup in the event of sickness, and etc. a minimum of one (1) Virtual Pharmacists on staff to cover for the primary Virtual Pharmacist. The Virtual Pharmacist(s) must: a. be citizens of the United States. b. be a graduate of a degree program in pharmacy from an approved college or university. c. have a full current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. d. have a working knowledge of VISTA and CPRS and be able to process pending prescriptions for mail without training. Experience with VISTA and CPRS must have been gained within the last three (3) years. e. be familiar with VA formulary and restrictions and Criteria for use of non-formulary drugs. f. provide their own computer equipment g. be able to obtain clearance from the Columbia Veterans Affairs Medical Center Information Security Officer. h. provide evidence of current professional liability insurance A CV (see solicitation for details) must be provided for each prospective Virtual Pharmacist, including the backup. The NAICS code is 621999 and the size standard is $8.5 million. The anticipated issue date is 4/10/06. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be made available at the URL address.
