Description
The Modernization Division of the Office of the Air Force Surgeon General (HQ USAF/SGR) is seeking potential small business and/or HUBZONE sources to provide successful acquisition support, market research, acquisition planning, pricing, contract performance management, contract administration and transformation management to establish the best most efficient contracting strategies in support of the AF/SGR vision, mission, goals, and objectives. Specifically, USAF/SGR is seeking potential sources to provide one (1) full-time qualified position to support HQ USAF/SGR with acquisition support, with an option for one (1) additional full-time support position. The contractor employee selected for this position must have GS-1102 equivalent work-related experience, documented experience in and a working knowledge of Federal Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and Defense Grant and Agreement Regulations, a thorough understanding and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and supplements, as well as other Government acquisition policies and procedures. A Bachelor?s Degree with a business concentration and/or Master?s Degree in Business or Public Administration are preferred. These duties are neither inherently governmental functions nor are they considered personal in nature. BACKGROUND: HQ USAF/SGR is responsible for identifying shortfalls within the current health delivery system and planning, programming, budgeting, and fielding the technology and services required to surmount that shortfall. The HQ USAF/SGR provides oversight, direction, policy and resources to leverage science and technology to transform medical capabilities and address critical long-term challenges in support of the Air Force Medical Service (AFMS). Currently HQ USAF/SGR provides oversight on approximately 80+ contracts and requires acquisition support assistance to support all aspects of the Directorate. The AF/SGR staff supports the modernization goal of enabling the AFMS to focus efforts on educating and training health care providers in areas of interest to expeditionary operational medicine. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 541618 with a small business size standard of $6,500,000. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements cited above. Capability statements should be limited to 5 pages and should include the follow: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, Email Address, CAGE code, and Size of Business. The Government will not award a contract solely on the basis of this sources sought, and reserves the right not to award a contract for the aforementioned requirements. This notice is not a request for proposals. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.
