- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an urgent unrestricted requirement that shall be awarded as a firm fixed price contract under Solicitation Number W9124N-06-R-0003. The Defense Language Institute, Presidio of Mon terey, California is soliciting proposals for the following requirement (No Substitutes): Item 0001: 1500 EACH Apple 30GB IPODs Part Number MA146LL/A, Black; Item 0002, 1500 EACH Case Logic Carrying case MPC-5 Black. Provide FOB Destination (CIO, 1388 Pl ummer Street, Monterey, California 93944). Payment will be made by DFAS. Specify prompt payment terms. Delivery, 5 days after receipt of order. Offers are due no later than 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, Friday 17 March 2006 and shall be submitted electro nically to Malissa.williams@monterey.army.mil. The synopsis/solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular through 2005-08. The SIC code is 5045. The FSC is 7045. The North Ameri can Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 423430. The following Provision and clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial items, and 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items; EVALUATION CIRITERIA / PROCEDURES: Of fers will be evaluated based on the following best value criteria in order of importance: Providing the specified product without substitution is more important than, delivery and price. Delivery and price are equal in importance, as prices offered become more equal delivery becomes more important. The Government reserves the right to make a split award. Offerors shall include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certification Commercial Items, applicable to this acquisi tion and furnish Offerors Federal Tax Identification Number, Cage Code, and DUNS Number with this offer. FAR Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, the clause at 52.212-5, DFARS Contract Terms and Conditions apply to this acqui sition; the following clauses within 52.212-5 applies: FAR 52.203-3, 52.203-6 Alt I, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.204-7 and 52.232-36.
