Description
Solicitation will be issued on March 20, 2006. Boiler Upgrade Specification - Arapahoe NWR 1. Install one electrically activated 3-way valve on boiler discharge piping (supply), sized for 22 gallons per minute, with the following: A. Refill hot water system with up to 60 % propylene glycol B. 0 deg f. to 212 deg f. media temp range C. -22 deg f. to 122 deg f. ambient temp range D. 0% leakage from a to ab port E. Fail safe operation open from boiler to system F. Nickel plated forged brass NPT threads rated at 400 psi G. Self aligning, blowout proof, brass stem with dual EPDM o-ring. H. Direct non-metallic coupling 2. Revise the electrical system as required in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). All wiring shall be in conduit. Provide communication wiring from the controller (see 3 below) to the existing phone system. 3. Programmable Controller (Allerton Microview or equal) A. battery backup B. 6 digital inputs C. 5 digital outputs D. 3 analog outputs E. UL 916 listed F. portable computer and modem G. time clock with the following sequence: A. Pump lead lag with fail safe changeover. B. High mass boiler operation, boiler temp 20 degrees higher than loop set point with high limit at 180. C. Reset loop temp based on outside air temp, adjustable with a base of i. OSA = 0 HWS = 180 ii. OSA = 60 HWS = 120 iii. Low temp override of 3-way valve to eliminate condensing of boiler. 4. LCD display in boiler room showing the following. A. OSA temp B. HWS temp C. HWR temp D. Loop temp E. 3 way valve position F. Boiler on / off G. Pump on / off H. Lead pump changeover, writable I. Osa and hws set points writable J. Boiler and pump alarms (remote and locally audible) 5. Remote communications with 1 year dial up support. Phone line to the boiler room will be provided by the customer. 6. Optimization of set points for maximum energy savings. 7. Re-insulation of piping. 8. 1 year warranty on all parts and labor NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-MAR-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
