Description
The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends on negotiating a sole source contract with Sherwin Williams for the acquisition of the following noted line items. Please annotate Solicitation No. N00604-06-T-0340. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION will not be issued. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS code and the small business size standard for this procurement is 325510 and 500 employees respectively. The FSC Code is 8010. Award will be conducted under the provisions of FAR Part 12 – Commercial Item and FAR 13.5 – Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All prospective quoters are responsible for monitoring this si! te for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this synopsis, which shall be considered. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotations (RFQ), for a Firm Fixed Price type contract incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 05-08 and DFARS Change Notice 20060223. The Regional Contracting Department, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends to award a single, firm fixed price contract for: ITEM 0001: PRIMER, TANK COATING, QUANTITY: 290 KTS PRIMER, MIL-P-23236 TYPE-VII, CLASS-7, GRADE-C; DURAPLATE UHS B62L210/B62V210 (BLUE) 1 KIT = 5 GAL. QPL-23236-75 DTD 30DEC05 ATTACHED. ORDERING DATA: A) COATING SYSTEMS FOR SHIP STRUCTURES; MIL-PRF-23236C DTD 12AUG03; B) AS SPECIFIED; C) ISSUE OF DODISS: LASTEST IN EFFECT AT TIME OF AWARD; D) TOXICITY REQUIREMENTS IAW PARA 3.11, MSDS REQUIRED; E) PACKAGING & LABELING IAW PARA 6.7 TABLE IX & X.
