- Description
- The Regional Procurement Support Office intends to issue a solicitation for the Design/Build Physical Security Upgrade Construction Project at the American Consulate General, Thailand. Design and Construction costs are estimated to range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The total duration of this contract from the issuance date of the Design Notice to proceed to contract completion is about 510 calendar days. The scope of work requires the successful Contractor to provide professional design services, and construction necessary to meet the requirements of the contract within the established schedules. The project includes but is not limited to: • Perimeter Walls and Fences • Main Compound Access Control (CAC/s) Facilities, Service CAC/s and GSO CAC/s. • Inactive Anti-Ram Barriers (Bollards and Walls), Active Anti-Ram Barriers • Security Lighting • Forced Entry Hardline Walls or Forced Entry and Ballistic Resistant construction • Forced Entry (FE) and Forced Entry/Ballistic Resistant (FE/BR) Doors, Windows, Grilles • Non-FE/BR Windows; Shatter-Resistant Window Film • Technical Security Systems (TSS) support infrastructure Solicitation and award will be subject to the laws and regulations of the United States of America and is being competed utilizing full and open competition procedures. Potential contractors shall be in possession of all required permits and licenses to perform general construction work in Thailand. All locally required permits and construction approvals shall be obtained by the contractor. All communication, correspondence, and documentation shall be in English. Travel to Thailand is at the expense of the bidder. There is no provision for reimbursement of proposal costs. Issuance of the subject solicitation is estimated to occur on March 15, 2006. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit are scheduled for March 27, 2006, (subject to change). Solicitation packages will be issued to firms providing written notice of their interest to RPSO, to the attention of Colum Mullan at the above Fax numbers not later than March 21, 2006. The solicitation may result in the award of one Design Build Firm-Fixed Price Construction Type Contract in May 2006.
