Description
The U.S. Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for 100% Small Business concerns. The estimated maximum value of this procurement is between $2.0 million and $2.5 million. The NAICS is 236220 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. Contractors are to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to demolish an existing greenhouse and build a new greenhouse. Project location: U.S. National Arboretum, located in Washington, D.C. IN YOUR RESPONSE PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: (a) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope. Please include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, performance dates, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least three but no more than five references are requested. Be sure to include at least three references from other than ARS; and (c) Your business size and type of business, i.e., whether you are HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Woman-owned, etc. Your response is required by midnight (est) March 24, 2006. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a Small Business set aside. FAR 52.219-3 and FAR 52.219-27 each requires that at least 15 percent of the cost of personnel on generalized work and 25 percent of the total amount of work for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a Small Business set aside or an unrestricted procurement will be posted on FEDBIZOPS. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. For information concerning this acquisition contact the Contracting Official listed above.
