- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW, the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Price Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-08 & DFARS change notice (DCN) 20060123. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3663, FSC code is 5820 & the size standard is 750 employees. NAICS is 334220. The Air Force Flight Test Center has a requirement for (5 ea.) TW-400 High Speed Shelf that supports high bit rate voice, data, telemetry & video services. (10 ea.) Video & Audio Encoder/Recorder. (5 ea.) Network Access Unit-- a telemetry service interface module. (1 ea.) TMS & Embedded Software for the specified hardware. Salient characteristics are as follows: The TW-400 Integrated Network Terminal is a multi-service, multi-protocol device delivering voice, data & video over IP backbone networks. Interfaces support multiple 10/100 Ethernet LANs, T 1/E1s, DS3s, telemetry, and both compressed and uncompressed digital/analog video formats. The TW-400 Integrated Network Terminal is a modular platform designed for expansion without disruption of existing services. The hot-swappable service interface modules provide a wide range of TDM, ATM, and IP service interfaces. The high bandwidth capable TW-400 INT is designed to NEBS level 3 and ETSI Class 3.2 standards, supporting both point-to-point as well as point-to-multipoint environments. Shelf Capacity of 3 traffic slots; 1 Shelf Master, 2 Universal; Master slot supports all NAU & PAU; Universal slot supports subscriber interface modules; 2 Gbit/sec backplane. NAU consists of 2XDS3c/E3c UNI co-axial electrical interface; 2XOC-3c/STM-1c UNI: SM IR (1310nm) or LR (1550nm) fiber;2XOC-12c/STM-4c UNI: SM IR (1310nm) fiber; I+1 Protection option on all interfaces. Technical Specs for the Video Service Interface Module—Video Input Ports: Density: 2, source selectable; Impedance: 75 ohm unbalanced; Connector:BNC; Type: Composite or SDI. Video Output Ports: Density: 2 ports; Impedance: 75 ohm unbalanced; Connector: BNC; Type: Composite or SDI. Composite Video Format: NTSC, PAL; I/O Level: 1-volt p-p nominal Timing Sources: external composite video; External SDI Video; Internal Timing Reference; MPEG recovered clock. Digital Video: I/O Level: 800 mV plus or minus 10%. Interface: ITU-R BT. 656. Technical Specs for the Network Access Unit [NAU]----Density: 2 ports per module; Connector: Dual SC; Optics: Intermediate Reach, Long Reach 1310 nm; Long Reach 1550 nm; Synchronization: line timing; loop timing; free run timing; BITS (via DS1/E1 Service Ports). APS: 1+1 (K1/K2), ring capable. 10/100 Base T Service Port: Density: 1 port per module; Connector:RJ45; Service: IPoATM; RFC 1483/2684 MPOA over AAL5; VPN: 16 PVC with explicit rate control and policing, 802.1q trunking.
