Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addiitonal information included in solicitation. For contractor's convenience separately attached is SF-1449, Solicitation, Contract, Order for Commercial Items and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through FAC-2005-08. The applicable NAISC is 333512; size standard is 500 employees. The USDA Forest Service intends to purchase (1) Weinig Profile Grinder Powerlock Rondamat 960 with options OR EQUAL as described in Section C. Contractor's quoting an equal product are to provide additional information as described in Section C, Equipment and System Comparative Information and follow FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items. Contractor's quoting a nondomestic product are to complete appropriate information in FAR Clause 52.212-3. Equipment will be shipped to WERC, 301 Hardwood Lane, Princeton, WV 24740. Contractor's submitting an EQUAL product need to provide by the closing date enough information for the government to evaluate proposed system. Written proposals are due at USDA Forest Service, 11 Campus Blvd., Ste 200, Newtown Square, PA 19073 ATTN: Patricia Pierce by 3:00pm on March 31, 2006. Faxed quotes will be accepted at 610-557-4224. Contractors are responsible that fax quotes reach Contracting Officer timely.
