Description
This project will consist of hot asphalt concrete pavement resurfacing, aggregate base, and drainage on 20.852 kilometers (largest schedule) of roadway for CO PFH 81-1(2), Tarryall Creek Road, in Pike National Forest, Park County, State of Colorado. Estimated price range is between $7,000,000 and $11,000,000. This project contains 2 schedules. Principal work items on the largest schedule include: 20.853 kilometers of slope reference, and clearing and grubbing; 41.705 kilometers grade finishing stakes; lump sum contractor testing; 26.4 hectares temporary soil tackifier; 12,500 meters silt fence; 15,000 cubic meters watering for dust control; 38 hectares clearing and grubbing; 100,000 cubic meters roadway excavation; 7,500 cubic meters subexcavation; 1,510 cubic meters placed riprap, various class; 168 square meters rockery wall; 184 each soil nails, epoxy coated, various length; 66,000 metric tons aggregate base; 1,950 metric tons asphalt cement grade PG 58-40; 30,000 metric tons superpave asphalt concrete pavement; 191 cubic meters structural concrete class A; 700 square meters reinforced shotcrete, various depth; 990 meters pipe culvert, various size; 527 meters rise pipe arch culvert, various span and size; 225 meters structural-plate box (corrugated) various span and rise; 500 meters underdrain system; 32,500 meters fence barbed wire type, 4 strand; 14,000 cubic meters placing conserved topsoil; 20,000 square meters erosion control mat type 2; 5,500 hours traffic control; 1,320 meters temporary concrete barrier; lump sum traffic and safety supervisor; along with associated removal of trees, signs, cattleguard, pipe culvert, timber retaining walls, sediment control, and rental equipment. Tentative advertisement date is March 29, 2006. Bidders/Offerors must acknowledge all amendments in order to be deemed responsive to this solicitation. It is the bidders/offerors responsibility to check for any amendments issued during the advertisement period. Amendments can be found at the above listed websites. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other documents required for the bid submittal shall be submitted to FHWA in paper format. Electronic format for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed.
