- 3D Modeler Maintenance The solicitation number is FA8601-06-T-0069. This is a SOLE SOURCE procurement and the purpose of this solicitation is for information only. The NAICS code is 541512. Any responses are due by 12:00 NOON (Eastern Standard Time), Friday, 24 March 2006, to the point of contact identified at the end of this notice. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is Stratasys, Inc, Eden Prairie MN 55344. The proposed contract is for the preventative and remedial maintenance of the 3D Modeler. Justification for the Sole Source: Proprietary test instruments and software passwords for service access preclude third party maintenence of the 3D Modeler. Full access to system hardware and software, and the factory training to provide updates and parts require the original equipment manufacturer to provide the service support. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received by the due date stated in this notice will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion.
