Description

This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being request ed and a written solicitation will not be issued. WELDING TABLES/DUST COLLECTOR WORK ORDER To properly facilitate the instruction of this important course and adhere to the safety, health and welfare of the instructors and students, the following purchase, proper assembly and installation of the following items is absolutely necessary. 1. Purchase and installation of (12) Air Welding Tables to include: " 72 X 30 Steel Grate Work Surface " Table Height Adjustment System " Individual Source Capture Arm " Back And Side Spark Shields " Dual Clean Out Drawer/Drop Out System " Individual Source Capture Arm " Table color - Crimson Red 2. Purchase and installation of (2) Central Welding Table Extraction Systems to include: " 30 HP Direct Drive, Top Mount, Motor Blowers " Roto- Pulse On Board Filter Cleaning System " Twelve High Efficiency Filter Cartridges This system will be situated in the RTS-M Welding Shop located at Building # 5922. The system will be assembled as follows: Two Rows of Welding Tables (6 per row). Each row of tables will be installed back to back. The downdraft intakes of each table will be connected via flex exhaust hose (Size TBD by Manufacturer). A 12 space located between the two rows will allow for the i nstallation of all flex hosing necessary for the proper air extraction of each welding table. All downdraft exhaust flex hosing will be connected to two (2) air extraction units located at each end of the two rows. These welding table air extraction units will collect all noxious fumes and meet all OSHA Specifications. Additionally, each welding ta ble will be equipped with one (1) Overhead Individual Source Capture Arm, (12) in total for the entire system. Each Individual Arm will be tied into one central collection tube which will direct the emissions from the welding process to one of the two unit s. The course calls for a student enrollment of 12 soldiers. This system will allow each student to have his/her own work station. The present antiquated system does not allow for the instruction of 12 students. Additionally, the system does not meet OSHA Spe cifications. This Welding System will allow for the proper instruction of the Metal Worker MOS 44B10 Course. The N.J. RTS-M is one of only two Regional Training Site Maintenance School Facilities across the country that instructs this course. The N.J. RTS-M has been gi ven the title of Center Of Excellence because of the instruction of this important MOS. It is imperative that this system is purchased and installed ASAP due to upcoming courses. Interested firms should quote on item 1 and 2 listed above to include all delivery, installation and fully operational. The order should be fully operational NLT 28 April 2006.
