- Description
- The Contract consists of two parts, a base contract for the work to be performed on the Spillway Bridge and an option for the work to be performed on the Access Bridge. The work consists of the removal of the bridge superstructure, including the bit uminous pavement, railing, concrete parapet/curb, and pre-stressed concrete box beams. The top portion of the concrete abutments and piers shall be removed and replaced with cast-in-place concrete. The superstructure shall be replaced with new pre-stress ed concrete box beams, a bituminous pavement, and guardrail system. The offsite disposal of the existing exterior pre-stressed concrete beams, bituminous pavement, railing, concrete parapet/curb, and material removed from the abutments and piers shall be the responsibility of the contractor. The existing interior pre-stressed concrete box beams shall be removed in such a manner as to not physically damage them as they will remain the property of the government. The existing interior beams shall be stored on the Dillon project by the contractor in a manner specified in the contract. Utility services currently located within the existing bridges shall be maintained at all times during the length of the contract. Access into the intake structure shall be m aintained at all time during the length of the contract. No pre-bid conference is scheduled. The estimated cost range for this project including the option is $1 Million to $5 Million. Contract type will be Firm Fixed Price, competitively bided. Therefore, there is no charge for the plans or specifications. Bidders shall have ODOT Certificatio n Level I, II, or III for bridge construction. A copy of the ODOT Certificate of Qualification for one of these levels (classifications 20, 21 or 22) shall accompany the bid. A SIC code of 1622, FSC Y222, and NAICS 237310 has been established for this sol icitation. The place of performance is Dillon Lake, 4969 Dillon Dam Road, Zanesville, OH 43701. This proposed procurement is restricted to SBA certified 8(a) companies located within either the Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio SBA Districts.
