Description
The Contractor shall furnish the services of transporting the Government-owned/controlled container by the Contractor's truck-tractor with 20/40ft container chassis and towing semitrailer including MILVAN chassis by the Contractor's truck-tractor applicable Government of Japan (GOJ) laws and trade practices. SERVICE CATEGORIES: Group I, II, and III. Group I EThe Contractor shall transport ISO container/knock-down flatrack (platform) container, Government-owned/controlled container, and MILVAN by the Contractor's truck-tractor with container chassis. Group II EThe Contractor shall tow Government-owned or controlled stake and platform (S&P), and lowbed semitrailers including MILVAN chassis by the Contractor's truck-tractor. Group III The Contractor shall perform on-base container movement services under an eight (8) hour time basis between 0800 and 1645 including a 45 minute lunch break by the Contractor's truck-tractor with 20-foot container chassis at ammunition depots stated in Area of Performance as follows. AREA OF PERFORMANCE: Honshu, Kyushu, and Hokkaido for Group I & II; Akizuki/Hiro Area/Kawakami Area (Hiroshima Prefecture) for Group III. The Contractor shall furnish he truck-tractor that is capable of towing 25 metric tons maximum gross vehicle weight of Government-owned or controlled semitrailer and MILVAN chassis under Group II. Truck-tractor shall be equipped with the converter which is designed to reduce 24 volts Direct Current (DC) to 12 volts DC for the lighting circuit of military or commercial design semitrailer when required. NOTE; THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
