Description
Design-Build requirement for a New Embassy Compound in Kolonia, FSM. Solicitation Number: SALMEC-06-R-0057. CLOSING DATE: All submittals must be received by 12:00, noon, EST, April 17, 2006, in the address identified below. THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Office of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking to pre-qualify firms for Design and Construction of a New Embassy Compound at a site located in Kolonia, FSM. The project will consist of design and construction of a one-story, reinforced concrete New Office Building (approximately 600 gross square meters) and support facilities on a compound of approximately 4 acres (approximately 16,300 square meters) based on documents provided as part of the formal RFP package. The project will also include design and construction of compound perimeter fences, walls and lighting; pedestrian and vehicle access control facilities; site improvements including: roads, walks and landscaping; compound utility systems; including water, sewer and emergency power. The site is located along the main road south of the town of Kolonia on Pohnpei Island, FSM. The site is wooded and is approximately 4 acres in size. Utilities are located at the site along the main road. The total estimated construction cost for this project is $1 to $5 Million. The contract type will be firm fixed-price. The criteria package for the project (Statement of Work) issued with the solicitation will include site and building concepts preliminary structural design information and performance requirements for design and construction of the facility along with the applicable laws, codes and standards that will apply.
