- Description
- The Government is intending to issue a competitive small business set-aside to manufacture a Rotary Thermalcycler prototype as described in U.S. Patent 6,875,602. This thermalcycler design was invented by USACHPPM employee Dr. Anthony Gutierrez. The contractor shall review and revise the CAD files developed by the inventor to produce a working portable battery powered DNA amplification device. This device can ident ify pathogenic species in any biological sample. The winning contractor shall work closely with the inventor in manufacturing the prototype. The proposed solicitation number is W91ZLK-06-R-0014. Preference will be given to contractors that can perform all the necessary functions in-house. These functions include biotection, microfluidics, mechanical & electronics. This synopsis will be posted for 15 calendar days, at which point a solicitation will be issued.
