- ACA Northern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Lewis, Washington is soliciting proposals for a contractor to remove and replace a damaged manhole and install communication cable at Yakima Training Center, Washington. The contractor shall plan , program, administer, manage, and execute the work necessary to provide the specified results. The contractor shall also provide all necessary personnel, management, and other items and services not expressly Government-furnished. The solicitation will result in the award to a single contractor of a firm-fixed-price contract. The period of performance is thirty (30) days from start of performance. This procurement is 100% set-aside for service-disable veteran small business. The Invitation for Bib (IF B) number is W911S8-06-B-0001. The applicable NAICS code is 237310 and the small business size standard is $31M. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the Fed Biz Opps website, http://www.fbo.gov/, and the Army Single Face to Industry (AFSI) website, https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi. The solicitation will also be posted on the Fort Lewis Directorate of Contracting website, http://www.lewis.army.mil/DOC/, under Solicitations. T he tentative solicitation issue date is 03 April 2006 and the anticipated closing date is 03 May 2006. After release of the solicitation a site visit is tentatively scheduled for 18 April 2006 at 11:00:00 AM PST. Interested offerors are advised to consul t the actual solicitation for correct dates and times. Prospective offerors are urged to attend and submit any questions they may have, in advance and in writing, to Wolf Jouett at wolf.jouett@us.army.mil. Bids from all capable and responsible sources wi ll be considered.
