Description

This is a solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 15.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitati on will not be issued. It is the Armys intent to capitalize on available laser and optic-electronic technologies for our current requirement of a Small Tactical Optical Rifle-Mounted (STORM) Micro-Laser Range Finder (MLRF). The STORM-MLRF is a lightweig ht, low cost, multi-function laser system for the individual Soldier. An estimated 8,600 units will be required over the next five years depending on available funding. It is anticipated that multiple Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) will b e awarded with a 5-year performance and a guaranteed minimum of 55 units. One award for the initial production of 400 units will be made to the offeror that provides the overall best value to the Government. The assigned NAICS code for this purchase is 3 34511, and the size standard is 750 employees. This contract will be paid with a Government VISA card.
