Description

Rock Island Arsenal Part Number : 341600X064040, CNC Lathe with Hybrid Tooling and 3 inch bar feed capability. The lathe to be provided shall possess, but not be limited to, the specifications, features and salient characteristics stated in Rock Isl and Arsenal Purchase Description (RIPD) J4000-06-9-91, dated 24-Feb-2006. The lathe shall consist of bed and base, reservoir type coolant pan, headstock, headstock spindle and spindle drive, infinitely variable speed spindle capability, carriage, cross sl ide, turret, CNC control and all other equipment/components needed to make the lathe completely functional. Requirement is One each, with an Option for Four each additional units. Delivery is Four Weeks after receipt of order, in accordance with RIPD J40 00-06-9-91. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island IL 61299. Approximate solicitation issue date is 28-Mar-2006, with an approximate closing date of 26-Apr-2006. Once issued, copies of the solicitation and RIPD J4000-06-9- 91 will be available for download from the Army Single Face to Industry website at http://acquisition.army.mil. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligatio n and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendmen ts and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. The proposed contrac t is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification Code is 333512, 500 employees. Numbered Note 12 applies.
