- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to award a commercial contract for Drift Nets Fabrication for Drift Collection Vessels located at the Caven Point Terminal, Jersey City, N.J. The intent of the work is to fabricate ten (10) new steel drift nets, six (6) for the Driftmaster and two (2) for the Gelberman, to replace badly corroded or damaged drift net for the drift collection vessels and collectors. The lump sum contract price includes all labor, equipment and material necessary to fabricate and accomplish the work. The materials include the following, Chain size: 5/16 dia. proof coil chain, Link size: Inside L = 1.10, Inside W = 0.50, Ring size: 3/8 dia. x 2 I.D. This procurement is a small bus iness set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. All responsible offerors may submit a quote to be considered. The RFQ must be received by 4:00 P.M. on 30 March 2006. Paper copies of this soli citation, if any, will be available or issued. Faxed copies are acceptable. Registration Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004. Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Dep artment of Defense CCR Database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
