- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award on a sole-source basis, a purchase order to Climax Portable Machine Tools, Inc., 2712 East Second St., Newberg, OR 97132-8210 for a BB6000 Wicket Gate Bearing Boring Machine. This is a complete system identical to the machine currently on site at Hoover Dam. This specific machine has been designed and modified over time to meet the specific needs at Hoover Dam. Climax Portable Machine Tools, Inc., holds all the patents, designs and drawings for this particular machine and has worked with Hoover in the past to design the various base plates and tooling to work in the unique conditions of Hoover Dam. This requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is March 24, 2006. Questions may be directed to Leslie Leavitt at lleavitt@lc.usbr.gov.
