Description

This is a Sources Sought Announcement only for purposes of conducting market research. There is no solicitation available at this time. Request for solicitation will not receive a response. U.S. Naval Hospital, Okinawa is researching contractors with the ability to provide BONE MINERAL DENSITOMETRY SOFTWARE UPGRADE for the G.E. LIGHTSPEED SERIES CT SCANNER. The objective for this upgrade is to enable the current G.E. Lightspeed CT Scanner the capability to perform Bone Mineral Densitometry. Software automatically checks and measures various CT scan parameters. The system allows serial study comparisons of BMD changes in mg of calcium hydroxyapatite equivalence and percent change on repeat exams. Bone Densitometry ?Software? package are to include the following: 1) Bone Mineral Densitometry Software, GE # B79971ND; 2) Flat Pad; 3) Bolus Bag; 4) Calibration Phantom for AW 4.1/4.2; 5) Installation. Interested sources are also encouraged to submit product literature, published or established price lists in response to this Request for Information (RFI). Any submission of such product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on, any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal Request for Quote. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments.
