Description
Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD intends to procure 28 dual mode (CW/pulse) Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Applied Systems Engineering, 7510 Benbrook Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76126. These items shall be procured using a firm fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a base year and four option years. The contractor shall deliver all items to: Receiving Officer, Supply Dept Bldg 665, 47159 Vaughn Rd. (NASSU), Patuxent River, MD 20670-1614 with an anticipated delivery date of 180 days after the date of each order. This contract is expected to be awarded on or about 15 April 2006. Inspection and acceptance shall be made at destination. Shipping is FOB destination. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government?s rights under the Inspection clause, nor does it limit the Government?s rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. The warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverables listed in the schedule. Applied Systems Engineering is the only known company that has a readily available product completely meeting all government requirements, including: total weight not exceeding 150 pounds, and power supplies that are available to work with existing single or three-phase power. Further, the items being procured from Applied Systems Engineering are compatible with existing software, including Northrop Grumman?s Combat Electronic Environment Simulator (CEESIM). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes offering alternate equipment. However, interested parties may submit a capabilities statement in which they identify their interest and capability. All capabilities statements received by 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time, 24 March 2006, will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. Therefore, it is incumbent on the interested party to provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government to make an adequate technical assessment of the capabilities of the alternate equipment.
