Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to solicit proposals to procure planning yard engineering and logistics services, and Maintainence in support of the Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) Program, Program Executive Office, Submarines (PMS399). NAVSEA intends to issue the formal competitive solicitation on or about 28 March 2006. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a base year and six (6) one-year options. The planned contract will also contain cost reimbursable efforts including emergent repairs and Maintainence, and engineering support on an emergency basis. The planning yard services and support shall include providing engineering, factory and field support with any material, facilities, quality control, training, inspection and testing, organization and management controls as needed by the Government. In addition, this support will provide engineering; logistic and industrial services for vehicle overhaul; equipment repair; maintenance and modifications; and Ship Alterations (ShipAlts) or Field Changes (FC). The formal solicitation, numbered N00024-06-R-6269, shall be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Page. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review this web page frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation documents and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be issued. NAVSEA is maintaining a technical library that will be available to prospective offerors during the conduct of the procurement.
