- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to award a requirements type contract, consisting of one base year and four option years, to manufacture replacement fuel oil purifier sets for the 378 WHEC Class Cutter, 270 WMEC Class Cutter, and 210 WMEC Class Cutter in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number P-541-470. The specification for replacement fuel oil purifiers sets is defined as a system of one purifier and all ancillary components (includes feed pumps, feed pump motor, sludge pump motors, sludge tanks, controllers and heaters) required by the purifier to purify fuel oil. The specification also sets forth the requirements for acceptance testing, preparation and delivery of design and interface reports, technical publications, technical support, integrated logistics support, preservation, barcoding, packaging and marking of the fuel oil purifier sets. The specific stock numbers, estimated quantities, delivery requirements, etc., and all information required to manufacture these fuel oil purifiers shall be included in the solicitation package. Contractors shall be required to provide all labor, materials, testing, preservation, and special packaging required to manufacture these fuel oil purifiers. After the award of a contract, Ship checks will be required of at least one cutter within the 378 WHEC Fram East Class, 378 Fram West Class, 270 WMEC A-Class, 270 WMEC B-Class, 210 WMEC A-class, and at least two cutters within the 210 WMEC B-class. Information regarding the ship checks will be provided in the solicitation. Technical Support Services to commission the installation of the Fuel Oil Purifiers may be requested. Quality Assurance inspection at origin shall be required and shall be conducted by a U.S. Coast Guard Quality Assurance Representative. Fuel Oil Purifiers shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. The North American Industry Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 333999 with a size standard of 500 employees. The complete solicitation package shall also be available for download from FedBizOpps, at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 24 April 2006. Be advised this date is?estimated? at best.
