Description

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security located at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center, Orient Point, New York, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Blount Boats Incorporated. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. DHS intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority FAR 6.302-1. After conducting market research it was determined that only one responsible source and no other suppliers will satisfy agency requirements with delivery by December 31, 2006. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis is solely authorized at the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates award on March 27, 2006. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in the preparation of responses to this announcement.
