Description

The project includes but is not limited to the following work: An addition of approximately 1,500 Square Feet to the existing visitor center and remodeling of the existing structures and museum exhibit spaces within. The addition is comprised of a new lobby, reception, gift shop and offices located adjoining the SW corner of the main structure. The existing restroom building is to be remodeled to comply with current ADA standards and to include new fixtures and finishes. There is a limited amount of site clearing and demolition of existing concrete walks and patios to allow for the addition. Interior demolition is concentrated in the exhibit hall where most of the existing electrical and HVAC systems will be upgraded and complimented with new equipment. The entire building will receive a new fire sprinkler system complying with NEPA 13. The addition is to be wood framed with metal roofing and cedar shake siding to match the existing siding. An alternate for a stone veneer at the west elevation is requested. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (10-AUG-2005).
